The Mountain Arts District (MAD) is a collaborative of artists and organizations working to improve the art economy in the heart of West Virginia. Our goal is to make the WV highlands an art destination—drawing people to our area to experience and buy art—and help make art businesses stronger by:
- Web Presence and Promotion. As a subscriber, you will be listed in our Online Arts & Events Directory. This is particularly valuable for those who don’t have a website and helps those that do reach more potential buyers. Depending on your subscription level, your listing can display a biography, photos, a video, ads, events, and a map to where to buy your art.
- Event Promotion & Marketing. MAD can help you promote your event through social media and on our Online Directory. Through our business Facebook page, we can Boost an ad or create an Event to target specific audience members that would typically be interested.
- Build a Stronger Business™ Workshops. MAD holds workshops throughout the year to help artists and venues to improve their knowledge and skills to strengthen their business. MAD Directory subscribers receive a discount to attend.
- Policy Advocate. To improve our artist economy, we have to make sure our state, county and city legislators know what we need in order to flourish. MAD works to make sure artists and venues have every opportunity to succeed.
